A long time ago, I ran a script over the deal.II code base to turn postfix- into prefix-++ operations. Apparently, it also caught what is in the code gallery.
I generally think that we should give code gallery authors leeway in their coding style, specifically regarding indentation. So I'm unsure what to do here, but since I already have it on my hard drive, I thought I might as well submit the changes.
