1 year ago To be fair to the maintainer they tried to bring some collaborators on board to help lighten that load but they ended up having less time then they thought and it just ended up getting put on every ones back-burner.

1 year ago If either of you would like to step in to help, I would greatly appreciate it. My work has taken me away from the world from extracting text out of unstructured documents and it's hard for me to prioritize this project with other things cooking.
Are either of you interested? Someone else in the community?

I have some experience with python, shell scripting. But I have not maintained a big project like this. If you can show me the ropes, perhaps I can help with the above and may be other python related pull requests?

From what I see, the last commit was made more than a year ago (on 2022-03-10). Pull requests are not being acted upon. Is this project still alive? If the original author does not want to maintain it anymore, is there any other fork that is actively maintained and can make a release out of it?
