I am not working on the project today and so far I don't know of any 5.0 issues. If there are 5.0 issues, I think they should not be difficult to fix. Regarding lucene vs. solr, the only issue which I am aware of is that filters may behave a little unexpected immediately after updating an item due to solrs "eventual consistency nature". But that was introduced with 4.0 already.
This add-on is by far the best add-on and most needed for any Alfresco installation. I am not a pro Alfresco developer, but have installed the stocked community editions at few places. And for every fresh installation, I make sure this add-on gets installed together. The only problem I have with newer version of Alfresco is that the web css get inconsistent sometimes.
Wondering if anyone has run into any issues when migrating to a new version of Datalist extension using custom datalists. We implemented this addon in Alfresco 4.0 D with a couple of custom datalist and have been using it since 2012. I ran into issues when i tried to edit or add datalists to the package and put back into production. In the end...i just didn't make any changes for a while. Currently Playing with the addon in the 5.0 test environment. I am using a nightly build of 5.0 b and the current datalist extension from github. i am seeing an issue where existing datalist content does not appear in my datalists. Almost seems like the existing datalist data no longer recognizes the datalist definitions.
this is fixed in version 1.3
We really like this addon and have been using it for a while now. Is there any chance that a 5.0 version is in the works. We are testing on 5.0b nightlies now. I think current versions require the use of Lucene indexes and 5.0 search with SOLR is huge
