Making 100% of Zombies/ Skeles spawn with Armor/ Weapon #7

Hello again, and thanks for the great plugin one more time!

While I was testing with Bukkit 1.4.2 R0.2 and DianloDrops 0.3, I noticed that not all mobs were spawning with gear even if my "chance" configuration add upto 100%.

I would like confirmation on if the mobs not spawning with gear is a cause by the enchant on itemstack bug.

Could it be caused by me trying to use decimals in the configuration file? If so, please enable use of decimals to allow further configuration to fit the server's needs.

Similarly, I believe it would be neat to have the ability to set a certain % of zombies and skeletons be a "normal" mob if the configured chances for tiers do not add up to 100.

Thanks for reading

At the moment decimals aren't supported, but may be in the future.

The reason for not all of them spawning with gear probably comes from the enchant error that v0.3 has.

Also, zombies and skeletons aren't the only creatures that will drop gear. Just about any hostile mob will drop gear.

Finally, that's certainly a possibility, but it would be a configurable thing, not just a default thing.

Ok thank you for letting me know. I hope decimals will be implemented soon, it is a very neat feature that I would like.

One question, I never saw a single mob with more than single piece of armor on at a time, is that intended? or will some spawn with more

ToppleTheNun commented 11 years ago

I haven't seen a mob spawn with more than one tool or armor myself. If I'm remembering correctly, it's entirely possible for them to have more than one, but it happens extremely rarely.

Glad to hear it is. Once 0.4 comes out I will run some tests with chances adding upto more than 100% and see if that will cause that to happen more often

We are getting close to a 1.0 major build. I think everyone will be satisfied with this next update. We just need to some bug test however I'll tell you you'll be able to get an unidentified item identify it, it may contain a socket that you can add specific gems to which will make an epic item that is still not entirely overpowered.
