Midnight Pool freezing #28

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to start Midnight Pool WB7P from emulated NAND via Wiiflow or USB Loader
GX

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Game should load but freezes at the point were (I suppose)
the savegame is being loaded. Happens on the same spot regardless whether
Wiiflow or usb loader.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
d2x r42 on a FW4.1 PAL System, open wiiflow mod v3.1 alpha r116, usb loader gx
r1154

Please provide any additional information below.
Tried different Nand backups (with and without savegame included), tried
different cios's, works best with cIOS249 base56. The game works in real NAND
or when started with uniiloader within sorg's emulated nand

Nand emulation is not fully stable.
I think that all non working games fail due to the same bug.

So this means that it is not an d2x issue? If so, sorry for bringing it up.

no, it means that it's a d2x issue and there are some games currently not
suported by nand emulation. Most of them are wiiware and virtualconsole.
I think I'll create a compatibility list beacause it's meaninless opening a new
issue for each of them since the issue in the cios is always the same.
Once this issue is fixed all those games will start to work.
