@deba168 these code changes have been tested. It works now with one sketch whether or not you have the ESP8266 installed. If you set the ENABLE_DATALOGGER to 1, and don't have the chip installed, it still works but there is a spinner delay you can notice.
I was able to complete testing today and the mosfet starts OFF then turns on after the spinner rotates a few times, provided the solar power is greater than the battery voltage. This takes about 2 seconds.
