SAGA 2.3.1 is the LTS for the 2.x series. Debian 9 System comes with SAGA 2.3.1 as default repo version.
Are there any plans in supporting SAGA 2.3.1 so that one does not have to install SAGA < 2.2.3 manually from source?
osgeo4mac now also uses v2.3.1 which is in turn used by our RQGIS package.
I am aware of the 'parameter change issue' in SAGA > 2.2.3 but I do not know if this issue persists in v.2.3.1 or how hard it would be to account for it in RSAGA.
