NOR Flash #3

Hello, I had bought the EPON variant of the HG8010H (even FTTN is still not available in my area, and I do not trust Huawei with security-related matters, so this was more for experimentation), and subsequently configured it as GPON (there are instructions on Huawei's forums, and I had archived the page on the Internet Archive).

Interestingly, I have a different flash module, a 25P28V6P, from a manufacturer that uses "e4" in a circle as it's brand (I have yet to figure out what this is supposed to be).

Another difference, is that the plastic holding for the SFP module is blue instead of green, however that is not something that means anything.

Update: It appears that the "e4" has nothing to do with the manufacturer, which is unlabeled.

From research, it is possible that this is made either by STMicroelectronics, or by Micron (rebranded from the MP128-VMF6TB), though nothing definite.

Hello. Yes, I also have an HG8010H EPON, it's slightly different from EG8010H GPON, I ever used last one, with no need to flash it. Bye

There is no need to reflash the EG8010H to reconfigure the PON modem, just a few commands via Telnet.

The EPON, GPON and XPON variants all share the same exact firmware.
