Tablet design/layout #93

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use any android 3.0 device (moto xoom, samsung galaxy tab 10.1) to load the
app

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
One would expect to see a layout optimized for the larger screen real estate
similar to NPR's iPad experience.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
Most likely requires design/UX help from NPR.

The app was working fine on my Galaxy 10.1 tablet but now seems to be locked
into portrait mode - which I hate! PLEASE let it operate in landscape mode
again!

Is it possible to keep the non-honeycomb devices (ie phones) locked in
portrait, but allow tablets to do both?

Wow! This issue is almost 1 year old and still unresolved. Let it be known that
the NPR Android app is indeed still locked in portrait mode on the XOOM.
Motorola now sells XOOM's bundled with a docking station which demands all apps
to support landscape mode.
