Currently, Webanno provides the annotation of dependencies between tokens in a 
single sentence and the annotation of coreference relations that is also 
possible over multiple sentences but limited in its structure. For more 
advanced annotation tasks, the annotation of arbitrary graph structures is a 
necessary requirement (arbitrary dependencies between annotated text spans over 
multiple sentences). Is there a possibility to configure Webanno for such a 
scenario or to integrate this feature in an upcoming release? Best, Christian

It is planned to provide the ability to define own annotation layers in the 
future. Some backend work towards this has already happened, but the feature 
itself will be post 1.0.

With WebAnno 2 it is possible to create custom span and relation layers. These 
should give you plenty of opportunity to annotate all kinds of structures.
