Power Report Formatting: Add more space between page content and footer content #222

Open annlarson opened 6 years ago

annlarson commented 6 years ago

Users have reported being confused when encountering the text WHO IS THE DEBT COLLECTIVE so close to the end of the article that is featured on the page. Please add more space between the footer features and the main text to give readers some breathing room. See attached photo. The blue line shows where more space could be added.

@annlarson Do you think there's a little icon or something we could place in the center of the page to indicate a break?

For example, I have this right now:

But maybe a red square would be better, something like that?

I wonder if we could use the line that Steve made - the one that goes through the word debt in the logo? I like the idea of the line as a recurring image. What do you think? Or we could just have a red square like you suggested.

Totally! I think that’s the same line we use in the header on the homepage of the power report, right?

yes

annlarson commented 6 years ago

do we have that as an image file?

A simple

would do the trick, but I'm not familiar with Jekyll so a little guidance would be nice. I mean, I'm not coming from zero: I've looked at some basic tutorials and understand how it works. But, still - some help would be appreciated so I can get on my feet with this :)

Specifically, where is the Power Report generated in Jekyll? I can't identify the page file that is used to generate this section. A deeper exploration into this and other aspects of the platform over a video chat would be appreciated.
