Museum and Art Venue experience within Decentraland. From classic to modern sculptures, art sales and showcasing. With indoor and outdoor experiences to see classic artwork and also emerging artwork on any format. You can see videos in a community screen, 2D artwork in indoor galleries and sculptures of all sorts everywhere.

Goal: Create the best place to showcase 2D, 3D and any sort of artwork in Decentraland.

LAND Needed: 1000+ (We will use whatever we have to create a Museum Experience, we have a strategy for small or big allocation of parcels)

Startup Costs: Very Low, as we have 3D developers and designers to build the venue

How will funds be raised: No need for funds

Will the district land (and buildings) be a common property so it's use is a subject to voting among stakeholders? Or anyone can use their land for their purpuses until it does not violate the district idea? Or some mix?

Hi!

I was thinking that there are common areas and we have dedicated space for contributors. So contributors can be artists and use the space, or just someone wanting some space in the museum.

Staking can mean having a dedicated space, proportiablly to the investment. And voting power could be interesting also. Like using District0x. Maybe a mix

At this point we are working on general layouts and strategy. But we are open to suggestions on how we should make the dynamic. A lot has to be defined still.

Monetizing the District can likely happen with Advertising, but I imagine getting to that point requires time. Stakeholders would get part of any income.

I believe we can use Aragon to govern the district.

For me the ideal would be a mix when every stakeholder have a separate space for their own projects (like a personal studio) and a share in a common property. These personal studios can be separate from the museum building and limited in size (say 1 land).

This is one of the best projects on DCL. I think that it has the ability to be a major draw. The sheer volume of content that can be displayed is amazing. Monetization will come first through donations, second though charging an entry fee, third through digital goods. This is beyond amazing when coupled with the costs of running a real museum vs a virtual museum. We can have every museum, every display, all the time lines, and the worlds biggest gift shop selling digital copies of dinosaurs to titanics. I cannot wait to see what you build. If I can do anything to help let me know.

I like this concept. I think linking up with Maecenas and Aragon is a good idea. Artists who contribute content to the gallery could get paid to sell signed original pieces to buyers. Have an escrow service where the funds are held until delivery of the work to the buyer etc. Have a movie theatre for video content.

I took some land I think it will be necessary to quickly talk about the project to convince the big museums of the world to create licenses of exploits of their mark via VR projects on our platform and to include them as much as possible in the creation from the land i am in france i can see what i can do on my side.

It is necessary from the beginning to design the gallery of the founders for our personal work with an outside and internal space so that we can express ourselves freely.

And that the rest of the earth is primarily dedicated to renting space for museums or major galleries of the world. We could create partnerships in our space with the creation of VR projects for these institutions.

I think you have to be ambitious from the start for this space. It does not just have to be the expression space of these owners. It must be made available through profitable VR projects with artists and museums around the world.
