Title: Celadon Square Description: There will be a skyscraper for each crypto exchange which lists MANA as a token, the height of the buildings will be updated each day with the total volume of MANA traded respective to the exchanges. The walls will plastered with info on each transaction which took place the previous day. Project Lead: Joseph Coco coco.joseph@gmail.com Team: None Goal: Potentially have representatives of exchanges set up interfaces inside the exchange buildings at a fee, but mostly as a good landmark in the community and a reminder of MANA prices/availability. Category: Public LAND Needed: 12. Startup Costs: I'm a developer, so looking over either individual exchange APIs or just altering other open source aggregator APIs is all which should be needed. Plus a script to update some of the parameters of the land. How will contributors see a return value: No clear plan on how funds would be distributed among contributors. I'd probably reserve roughly 25% for development, 25% for any design work which may need to be done, and the rest going to the land owners.

Similar in spirit to Fidelity's StockCity, except with MANA markets and other cryptoassets used in Decentraland and hopefully inviting, interactive spaces instead of just plain bars. If you like the concept, please thumbs up

Edit: I changed the name of the district to avoid confusion with an exchange.

I really like this idea, @Lythimus! I was wondering...do you...do you think there is room for a decentralized, VR cryptocurrency trading desk in Bittrex tomorrow?

I ask because I am the Founder of Virtual Reality Shopping District and I am NOT technically savvy whatsoever. I would love to learn code, but keeping up with business/digital marketing is a full-time job in and of itself. At the same time, I have found that there is a HUGE lack of marketing in the crypto/blockchain space.

With that said, I am open to working with other districts within Decentraland and would love to have like a mini 1-5 parcel multi-floor building of trading...I could even imagine each floor being it's own currency being traded against altcoins. For instance, Bitcoin would have it's own floor, MANA would definitely have it's own floor, Ethereum & NEO might have their own floor, etc. So the coins might actually be virtual coins we are carrying on our virtual character.

I could be going a bit out there with this, but I have no clue how far these virtual worlds can stretch and I wish I could work closer with developers on these projects!

@greenriverneo I wrote a preliminary governance document and have a 3d artist who is going to be getting me some designs soon.

I'm on vacation now with limited internet access, but I hope to clean up the governance doc, get stakers together, discuss some things, show the designs, and move towards the official district guidelines within a month.

Things have been slow moving unfortunately. I've been waiting to get some models to start playing with the A-frame code, but have been reviewing practices for development in A-frame. I need to spend some time just playing in the environment, but I'm still not anticipating the initial launch having much in the way of complicated code.
