Proposal - Voting to set Decentraland's era

To help harness the 'mish mash' of potential building designs I propose a vote on which era Decentraland is set. Is it the past? Now? Future?

Do we want a city that is futuristic? The technology is the futuristic part and it allows us to create a better version of the past. Think 19xx New York where everyone drives Mustangs, smokes in Jazz bars and uses a typewriter.

I certainly don't think we should restrict people's choices like that. Thats more "centralized land" than decentraland, imho.

The proposal is to vote. Consensus may be to not have a restriction. Democracy wins.

I do tend to agree with SilkWeb. This is one of those situations where adding restrictions goes against the core concept, however restrictions enhance cohesion.

Also on the wiki it states we are transitioning from bronze age to the iron age, and it is somewhat backed up in the WP

Now, I am relatively new to the project, but I can't find anything anywhere that explains scale? or distance?

It would have to be consensual. I'm starting to not like my original proposal now. It would be interesting to see the creative minds build something unimaginable. Tron. Each parcel of land is 10 meters wide and 10 meters in length. Approx 25 feet = 10 meters.
