Purpose: A social rating system for access control, user management, abuse report and much more
Description : In order to facilitate assessment of various criteria & info, a ranking & rating system is much needed, especially in such a social environment.
Criterias
The system will evolve, but here are some basic criteria which could be used :
Decent'rating : a general score of your profile in game, based on your behaviour, other users ratings, duration spent in game, contribution to the community...
Credit rating : a financial rating, based on user's past transactions, escrow, rental history, and other users ratings after a transaction in complete. It will also be influenced by how much coins you have on your wallet, and could even be connected into an outside portfolio. Will also be influenced by your ingame possessions.
Skills rating : rating of your job / hobbies in game. Based on the hours spent practicing said skill, and other users reviews
Many more can be thought of.
All ratings will be based on algorithm designed accordingly, and will be registered in the blockchain, thus making them unalterable and trustworthy.
Interface
It has to be very visual for the users, who will be able to screen people in the live environment.
For that, a simple additional layer of information is needed.
Here's the most simple view of Decent' Ratings :
We could then add different layers of rating displayed live, here's "credit rating" on top of Decent' Rating :
Then, we would need a HUD in two parts :
A side bar for the user's detailed data (which would unfold when we target a specific users and want more details)
A top bar that would able filtering (so that we're not overwhelmed with ratings all over the screen, and which also help us to select only the users we're interested in)
Here's what it could look like. I used a random unknown in game football player for the purpose of the example :p
As you can see, we can filter the different skills, activate or not the fact that they show, research specific ones...
The detailed profile of the user appears of the right, giving a full assessment, well needed before you commit to a deal, purchase something, visit some place.
Further developments
Once this rating system is functional between users, it could be applied to locations, LANDS and so much more :)
