This is a placeholder until I can write more about this. This is not a EDV Kernel capability. It can wait.

This raises the question; are EDV's filesystems or databases?

I believe EDVs will become a fundamental component of the Trusted Digital Web and that there should not be any unnecessary restrictions.

That is, like TCP-IP, the spec needs to be compatible with the #OpenToInnovation principle: https://hyperonomy.com/2019/03/12/internet-protocols-and-standards-not-only-need-to-be-open-but-more-importantly-open-to-innovation/

The short answer is both or whatever you want them to be.
