Closed matdam99 closed 3 months ago

matdam99 commented 4 months ago

Describe the bug Every time I try to toggle on the allow media management toggle under privacy settings, the app crashes.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to settings in top left
  2. Click on privacy menu
  3. Try to toggle on "allow media management"
  4. See error - app crashes

Expected behavior the toggle should turn on and the app should not ask me to confirm everytime I want to delete a file.

Additional context I have two phones, one on android 12 and 14. I know this setting was previously toggled "on" on both devices, but now the app keeps crashing when I try to toggle this option.

In that other issue, I had blamed Samsung's One UI, but obviously I was wrong.

This setting can be toggled directly via the Android app settings too. Do you remember toggling it via Aves itself? If it was working then and now it crashes, would you pinpoint any change, like an OS upgrade, Aves upgrade, or something else?

Do you know your way around logcat?

Do you use a custom ROM?

Also, I see on gsmarena that your device is not supposed to have Android 12. Did you get it on your device by official OTA update, or another way?
