How would Decred handle network partitioning? #1

The idea is inspired by Proof-of-Stake & the Wrong Engineering Mindset article by Hugo Nguyen. It considers several network partitioning scenarios and how pure Proof of Stake handles them worse than pure Proof of Work.

Research the topic and write an article about what would happen with Decred.
