The TEDx intro video loops infinitely and pauses certain times which hinders UX. Things on top of my head right now.

Try to optimise it or write some JS to pause the video after X seconds.
Can use a shorter video but images may look repetitive.
Can use a different looping video like this one. https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/en_US/mktg/wright/home/us_hero_homepage_052015.mp4 - very tempting.
Can remove background video with a banner image in case I give up.

Took a segment of the official TEDx intro video and optimised it to play on loop for a shorter segment. Works as of now.
Need to come up with something for mobile screen as well.

Removed the audio from the background video, works better now.
Would go for a static banner for mobile since the video loads without caching and looks glitchy on smaller screen sizes.
