So you mean being able to download all the songs from an album directly?
ytmdl
cannot do it as of now, however you can just pull the album playlist from youtube and pass it to ytmdl
as a playlist and it will take care of it.
Youtube considers all albums as playlists so if you go over to the searchbox and search for the album name, you'll see the album as a result on the right. Just click there and you'll get a playlist URL.
For example, for the album evermore
, here's the URL: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_m-vSVOiVeY_z2lPgThmS6Nn0TJExXZtOg
.
Hey, I have the same or at least a similar question, when I download an Album as a playlist, why do I have to keep choosing the metadata for every song individually, since its an album shouldn't it remember the artists, album etc instead of having to always choose which one per song basis?
I checked but cannot find a way to get it to just ask you the album and it will do all the tracks automatically, I have to manually add each one and hope that its the right album. very annoying, would rather just use yd-dlp and mp3tag with how it is made currently.
