Question: why not openhab or homeassistant? #9

what benefit if any does this body of work bring to the table over more mature systems with much larger communities?

ibizaman commented 7 years ago

The fun and pride of doing everything by hand. And being able to do exactly what you want, how you want it.

I like the mechanical switches you made. I would imagine that if ported to homeassistant or openhab would help many more people. Since the communities are huge, you'd actually get feedback. I would think it would be quite gratifying knowing that there are people using your work. Anyways my two cents, you didnt ask for it, so i apologize. Im a bug fan of homeassistant.

@johnypony3 I don't consider a repo with 2300 stars "people not using" his work.

I mean thats cool, a star does not a contributor make. On Wed, Feb 1, 2017 at 5:56 AM Florian Wendelborn notifications@github.com wrote:

As I saw the video and I have got the same question: Why not? I want to ask you about ioBroker. It is written completely in JS and very fast growing. Just now I need a really help to replace old jQuery Mobile interface and wanted to do it with React.
