Integrate the Controllers with the Database #173

Expected behavior

The new Controllers should use the new Database classes.

Actual behavior

Currently the Controllers still use the old way of handling the Database.

Steps to reproduce this behavior

Replace the calls to the database with the new methods of calls.

Definition of Done

When the old Database methods aren't used anymore
