I am using Keeper FX 0.4.4 without any patch, so maybe this is an old problem.

I was playing the original campaing "Snuggledell"; I started the game and dig
to the large area of water. My 4 flies start exploring the water and
fighting the fairys, here the combat screen appear (and the sword flash in red).

When I travel through the water and attacked the enemy the combat screen
doesn´t appear.

Later I played Wishvale (original campaing too), this level have a blue
guardian on the left and some heroes here and there on the top-bot-right.

The combate screen appear until I defeated almost all the heroes.

From that time only when my own skeletons and bile demon are fighting each
other that screen pop out, but figthing the blue guardian doesn´t.

Some screens:
scr22: You can see the fight but no screen.
scr34: I started a fight between my own creatures, then I attacked the enemy.
The screen is there but the sword isn´t flashing. If I close the screen not
reappear.

My change which divided fight events into friendly fights and enemy fights must
be the cause of this.

I will look into this.
If you have a saved game from just before such fight, that would be helpful.

In save 05 I have the bridge almost build.
I have a fly, so you can provoke a friendly fight with the spiders.

In save 03 I´m near to fight the enemy, and you can provoke a frienly fight
with skeletons and bile demons.
