Is that how Claymores work IRL? Aren't they stationary mines?
Well whichever way it works, personally i'm against ideas that "detach" the camera and the control from the player. It's always very awkward, being stuck in this detached state and having no way to defend yourself should you get into trouble (and you will of course get into trouble, as you are now a priority target). Furthermore, because the only way to use such a camera-detaching feature is to hide your player character in safety, this would heavily promote camping. Far from ideal.
If you want homing weapons, that's fine. Make them follow the cursor on your screen while keeping the focus (and movement control) on your own character. This lets such weapons be used much more effectively during active combat. Sure you cannot shoot your enemy while your checks notes homing Claymore(??) is driving(?) around, but at least you can still dodge shots this way.
that is same with mines or c4

@SyberSteve can you elaborate?
Add a kind of drivable bomb that explodes after 15-20 seconds but can also be remotely detonated at any time. The player can place down these bombs and once placing them down, the camera will be reverted to follow the drivable mine. The player is not invincible during this time and can die to enemies. The mine deals the same amount of damage as a normal frag grenade but if is exploded when the timer runs out deals half damage. Player is given 2 of these mines on respawn. The mine is given a blue outline when friendly and a red outline when enemy. Enemies can also shoot at the mine before it reaches them to detonate it. (no clue how much health the mine should realistically have) Cannot capture zones and goes at 75% speed in water.
