Literally Rather than forcing players to gamble, set something at a specific price, even if high. It will most certainly attract more players to buy gems and buy items, rather than forcing them to gamble.
Besides, gems aren't the only way for the game to profit, there is also AD revenue.
Lootboxes. For children. Why are we okay with this?
Why am i okay with this?? I'm actually quite pissed at myself for supporting this game now, and for ignoring this problem for so long. Because yes, it is a problem. Asking children to pay for your game is already questionable enough, but at least there isn't any addiction involved. Gambling is addictive, and children are very bad at self control. Why the fuck are we encouraging them to (get their mom to) buy legendary chests?
There are better ways to fund a game.
