A zoning grenade that would create a large (~10 squares diameter?) circle of ice that lasts for 30(?) seconds. The specific tactical benefit of such a grenade isn't immediately clear to me, but it would be a fun addition.

Potentially it could be used by:

throwing it at the enemy lines to screw up their dodging and make them easy targets?
creating a temporarypathway for faster travel? (ice does seem to allow for faster overall movement)

Initially I thought you wanted it to slow people down but flash-freezing the ground for faster travel is way better actually. I support this idea.

Perhaps it shouldn't do any damage to players unless its a direct hit, then it kills the person and freezes them I guess? I don't know if this should have any effect on vehicles aside from the ice causing them to potentially spin out of control.

I fail to see why this grenade needs to deal any damage to begin with. It's a pure util grenade - and that is okay.

Kinda, except this one wouldn't act as a slowdown. It would work the same way Islands ice works
