File association fails when with GUI is not connected to server

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Close all occurrences of the GUIL
2. verify that the transmission remote is the default app for .torrent files
3. click a link to a torrent like http://www.mininova.org/get/2937090
4. transmission loads but does not login to svr & start dowloading the torrent

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
transmission GUI should load,  auto login to the default server,
and add the hyper-linked torrent to the dowloading category

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.11 build 3525

ps make the about screen copy & paste able
or add this bug report screen as part of the app & just grab the version

If the last profile used has the auto connect setting enabled, the application 
should
auto connect and then upload the torrent.

Yah you are right I did not realize that option would make the hyper-links work
(kinda missed it )
do ya thunk that it should be the default to auto connect
