Qmmp can't play files with umlauts in name #524

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Prepare file with umlaut in name, like "1. Kommt, ihr Töcher.mp3"
2. Try to open the file in qmmp: qmmp 1.\ Kommt\,\ ihr\ Töcher.mp3"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
File should be added to playlist, but it is not added. Files without umlauts in
name are opened without problem.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Debian GNU/Linux wheezy/sid, qmmp
QMMP version: 0.5.2 (apt-get install qmmp=0.5.2-2)
Qt version: 4.7.4

Please provide any additional information below.
Qmmp 0.5.1 has the problem too.
I can provide additional information by request.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this in my system (mageia 1). Try to
reconfigure your locale settings. Also try other Qt application (smplayer,
QtGain). If this problem affects Qt applications contact your Qt maintainers.
May be Qt compiled without some codecs.
