relative paths in urls - solution #318

Relative paths to images (and probably files) were afair never working. Last 
thread about them shred some light on this matter, and there's almost a concept 
of solving it:

Since it's a needed functionality and easy to implement, this should get into 
3.1.1 asap.

Agreed...I am very surprised this discrepancy exists...I didn't find out about 
it until I was ready to migrate from my staging environment to production.

I don't think this "problem" is easy to fix. I haven't seen any solution that 
works for any permalink structure setting (default, fancy, custom...)

With WordPress and most CMSs you'd have this same issue. My comments on this,
