Moving out of RC1 as this is not essential to the RC

@arschles is this something you still want to tackle for 2.2 or should we remove this milestone completely? Looks like we've been punting this since rc1

No and I'm gonna close this PR. This is a private repo and we can revisit if/when we open source it.
