Comparisons to OCI? #286

I've read a lot of this spec and a lot of OCI, but I'm wondering if there are any comparisons published.

I can see some differences in the feature set (more fine grained references), and some differences in the style (TOML instead of JSON), but I'm wondering how far off the two actually are.

Has anyone done an evaluation? I'd be interested in writing one up if there hasn't been one yet.

I don't know that anyone has done a written comparison. They are different in some notable ways, but none of us has spent much time articulating it.

Note that we are in the midst of changing the way that invoices are hashed and signed (a new proposal should be landing in the PR queue soon), but otherwise the docs should be up to date.
