Improve documentation and examples #76

Fixes #72 and other small issues

This PR contains the following fixes:

Add instructions on how to amend the readme.md file
a new exported function getSupportedLanguages() to get the supported languages
Update the example and doc with the full list of supported languages
Some internal type refactoring
