Preserve original aspect ratio when uploading covers for videos and images.

I'm very interested in identifying Prior Work (any website!) that shows which web/file formats are ubiquitously hassle-free across most all phones/tablets/laptops (and their built-in browsers) sold since about 2018-2020:

Or if this Prior Work really doesn't exist (or is too stale??) then we should do a quick inventory of what web/file formats are Very Broadly Supported[a] on (1) Android (2) Windows and (3) iPhone/MacBook in recent years.

[a] WITHOUT the need for ANY customizations! (e.g. if and where installing things like VLC are necessary, that's an entirely separate matter, that belongs in an FAQ for gurus/gadgeteers.)
