Crash on 0.4.7, massive server thread lag #78

Below is a LagGoggles report indicating that Streams is causing a massive amount of server lag--I'd also like to use spark to get a WarmRoast however I'm unsure of how to use the mod. I'm also getting this crash while I'm exploring new areas. LagGoggles

The recently-released Streams 0.4.8 should fix these timeouts in most cases, please give it a try and let me know if it still happens for you. Thanks!

Hijacking this thread because I have the same issue. I'm putting together a mod pack and yesterday when trying it out I had enormous amounts of server lag which completely went away after removing Streams, version 0.4.8 that is.

Hi @Khris777 , do you have any errors in the server logs you could share? Also if you're using the latest Farseek (2.4) could you try downgrading to 2.3.2 and see if it helps? Thanks!

Weirdly enough I can't reproduce the issue now. At the beginning I had huge server lag and lag goggles were telling me it was the fault of Streams. I then removed Streams and that heavy lag was gone. I continued adding other mods and testing, then I readded Streams and no additional lag happend.

I don't know what happend exactly. I read that the lag goggle analysis results aren't always reliable so one mod might be mistaken for a different mod. In the world with the lag I also had severe client lag at a point. I didn't bother to get close due to the lag but it looked like there was some weirdness going on with Streams and mud and there was an immense number of lagging entities. Later I saw a thread on r/feedthebeast where someone posted about Quark spawning thousands of frogs and it could be that this was the actual issue.

I'm only speculating here, but maybe a huge bunch of frogs were spawned into a moving stream and this caused a bad interaction?

Anyway, it all seems good now.
