The FDA posts recalls online (http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/), but no indication of the number of products actually turned in because of the recall (numerator) or the number being recalled (denominator). It would be helpful to understand these two data points for each recall in order to track the success/failure of the recall.

@cornstein, Interesting. The http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ seems to have only a subset of actual recalls. It identifies several disclaimers:
