Not 100% sure this is sufficient, but I gave it a try.

hey @nick-robo, thanks for the pr, unfortunately this color seems to be kinda close to the white letters in the quick settings etc, making the letters harder to read. Also, in this extension I try to use colors from the official GNOME color palette to make sure the accent color integrates well with the rest of the desktop.
