net-fs/winexe-1.0.0-r1 fails to build on ~amd64 #301

I accept the broken pieces, this is more of a heads up than anything. This
package fails to build on a fully updated ~amd64 system, which I suspect has
more to do with it running Perl 5.20.x than anything. The live ebuild might
fix this, but getting mingw64 working properly was taking more time than I had.

As I already explained in
https://code.google.com/p/pentoo/issues/detail?id=281, we don't accept bugs
which are out of our profile. So you are on your own here.

We run stable arch and winexe compiles fine in this setup. If your desire to
have an unstable (~) arch, you should expect to use unstable, and sometimes
even git (live) ebuilds.

However, feel free to provide patches which you think might help you and other
people. Always happy to help.

If you actually read the bug you'll notice that there is no request for
support. It's a signpost for anyone else stepping outside the norm so they
don't waste hours going in the wrong direction.

If there is a place you would rather known-broken things be posted, I'm willing
to work with that.

If you were aware of just how broken the deps of net-fs/winexe-9999 are and
how, in spite of manually installing two undocumented deps on specific crossdev
profiles it still fails to compile, you might know that running the live ebuild
isn't an immediate option.

Thanks for your 5 seconds of consideration.

Oops. Sorry. My impression was what you expected some kind of action from us.
Please keep them posted for everybody's awareness and post all patches/ebuilds
which you might have locally.

Thanks, and my apologies - I was responding rather harshly myself.
