The following is a copy of a comment from "wavingecko" posted wrongly on Issue
311:
jepp, just uploaded an report with open HardwareControl
i just renamed it by googeling the temperatues for the mainboard.
So the AMD-FX-Temp. is wrong
Mainboard Temps should be
Temp1: System
Temp2: power (if supported)
Temp3: CPU

As far as I know this is an issue with the AMD CPUs. AMD has documented for
quite some time that the "core temperature" accessible through registers is not
really on a degree Celsius scale, but on a virtual one. Nevertheless, on older
CPUs this has given good enough results. See also the attached part of the
"BIOS and Kernel Developer’s Guide (BKDG) for AMD Family 15h Models 00h-0Fh
Processors".
The offset isn't really known, it might not even be constant per CPU type. So
currently I do not see any way to fix this issue. See also the Core Temp forum.
http://www.alcpu.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=2231
If the latest version of Core Temp gives different results than the Open
Hardware Monitor, I might look into it once more.
The readings for the CPU temperature obtained from the mainboard should be the
same as in other software (but still different from the core sensors results).
If you see any indication for what might be wrong or how to fix (or obtain info
for a fix), please let me know.
