I have a similar project on SourceForge called MBLogic
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/mblogic/).  I also use Python and Twisted
as the basis for the MBServer package. I have Modbus/TCP and am adding soft
logic (PLC logic execution) and web based HMI capabilities (AJAX based). I
also have several other related packages (servers, clients, libraries,
etc.) on the same project page. The project web site probably explains it
best (http://mblogic.sourceforge.net/)

My own project is intended to provide a complete automation platform. What
do you see as the application area for your own project? Do you think there
is anything we can cooperate on?
