black screen has substituted all the text but other UI elements are working fine

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. opening the app for first time
2. click ok to change log
3. browse file system to open a pdf,
4. click ok when it asks for installation of mupdf decoder
5. pdf file open with nothing being displayed, I can see title, hand tool in 
the bottom right corner, I can see page number but no text with any ebook of 
any format
6. I try to search for a word to confirm if there is really anything, for the 
first time it says decoder is restarting and after that search functionality 
works flawlessly. I can go to next or previous pages. But I cannot see any text 
at all.

What is the expected output?
I must be able to  see text

What do you see instead?
a black scree with normal UI and all the tools

What version of the product are you using?
2.1.9

On what operating system?
4.0.3

What device are you using?
Karbonn: Smart Tablet 1

Please provide any additional information below.
I have just updated the app, I had one year old version of this app installed 
and it worked as per my expectation.
If this version does not support my devise please inform me about most recent 
working version.
