KeePassDroid showing mobile and wifi data usage when none is expected!!!

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the app.
2. Wait.
3. Go into Settings->Data usage, scroll down until you find KeePassDroid, 
select it, and observe a non-zero data consumption by the app for both mobile 
and WiFi.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
This app does NOT have permissions to use the network (verified under App 
Info), so I would expect no consumption of mobile or wifi data ever!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.99.10 running on Android 4.3 on a stock Galaxy S3.

Please provide any additional information below.
From what records my device offers, this seems to have been happening since 
mid-December 2013.  Screenshots attached to illustrate my observations.

Android can be configured to automatically back up application settings to your 
google account, like the settings in the KeePassDroid settings menu. This is 
what you are seeing. 

None of your password database is sent out.
