Ability to have two consecutive lists #77

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

It would be nice if one could have consecutive lists.

Perhaps a line with only two spaces between the list items?

1.  First
2.  list

* Second
* list

1.  Third
2.  list

Periodically the suggestion is made on the markdown discussion group
to make two blank lines end a list. Nobody has implemented this yet,
though. For now, you can get consecutive lists by putting an HTML
comment between them:

1. First
2. list

<!-- list sep -->

* Second
* list

Cool. By the way, why not add this as an 'extended feature'? Is it because
there's
already a way to do it, that's compatible? If so, good reason ;-)

I'm tempted to do so, but I hesitate because it might break some existing
documents. (Someone might regularly use two blank lines between list items.)
