Decoration flickering on editor switch

Describe the bug

Each time I switch editors decorations are repainted and a flickering effect is noticeable.

This is mostly a heads up: I realized that many extensions suffer from the same issue, some of them more than others (it depends on the delay they set to redecorate on editor activation), so I reported it upstream (https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/136241) and it was ackowledged. It's now candidate to backlog but it needs some upvotes, so if you want decorations not to be recomputed each time editors are switched this is your chance.
