Hey man. I know it's been a while since you last pushed and update, and to be honest I have no idea if you are still maintaining this addon.

I got a few suggestions.

  1. Choose which subtitle service to use based on which you currently have installed, instead of being forced with opensubtitles.

  2. If 1 is not possible then maybe look into combining opensubtitles and subscene as this addon has done https://thuongtin.com/kodi/subtitle/service.subtitles.thuongtin.zip This will yield way more results, I've noticed that alot of tv shows don't have subs on opensubtitles but does on subscene and wise versa. So this would be really awesome.

Best regards

Hello, Yes I'm still here :) I'm working on a module that will allow you to do exactly that. It will check all subtitles addons you have in your system. This implementation is hard to do and at this moment I'm facing a huge challenge at work… Don't expect the next update until the end of the year, but is coming.

+1 on this - OpenSubtitles has been geoblocked in my region.

Hi Denimnani, I really enjoy this addon and thank you for saving me alot of trouble while using kodi any chance we get a new release. also i tried to load a movie from another apk such as TVZion to kodi as a direct play through kodi web server, and whenever the movie starts the addon will directly open the dialog box, it wouldnt choose the best release and download automaticlly as it usually do, i tried it with many movies always the same result, however with seren it works well.

Hi there, I'm still here. It's hard to say when I will be able to launch a new release, specifically in world crisis we are now, but is coming. Related to your problem, the addon requires that the file name have the release type, and in this case it don't, so the normal behavior is to open up the subtitle dialog. In an upcoming update I will had the ability to match subtitles by hash, it will most likely solve your issue, but I need more information. If you can, enable the debug option then reproduce the issue and finally post it.
