status message not modified in Gtalk #108

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Log into Gtalk
2. Change status initally to 'available'. 
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the status should be set as 'available' immmediately but it doesnot happen 
that way instead it keeps showing 'set your status message...'

But if you select any other status message and then select 'available' the 
status message is set.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
os:Win-XP
version Gtalk:1.0.0.104
