enhancements to email notification functionality #23

Feature Request: allow a profile option for both mentors and students to 
receive e-mail notification 
of any submissions, comments, or other changes to the account.  It's causing 
rather inefficient 
polling and searching of the interface by both students and mentors when we 
could simply be 
notified of changes.

Displaying the number of comments or the last change time in the application 
listing
would help a lot with this too.

it seems like name of person who gets email is changed with name of student

I got:
Dear Mentor Name
....has been updated by My Name. To see this addition please go to ...

Just a quick note to confirm that I've seen the same thing happen as desowin;
received a message addressed to the mentor stating that I had updated the 
application.

desowin, this is a separate issue.  please open another issue to track this 
bug.  The
first comments are feature enhancement requests.

With over 75 applications to review, this has been a headache. Please consider 
making
improving this part of the user experience a priority.
