Thinner plate with original stabilizers #1

Does it make sense to laser a thinner plate (say, 1.5 mm) and reuse original stabilizers?

I guess that would be an option. I don't have the original parts on hand anymore but if I remember correctly ALPS plates are 1.2 mm in general. But If you want to use the original stabilizers, the dimensions and positions of the current cutouts are definitely not correct and would have to be edited.
