Here the same. Guess, without having checked on my fork, to be synced to upstream/head , just some typo or a one miss after refactor and renaming which went unnoticed in testing until now.
I am unable to find anywhere in ALE calling such function ale#path#CdString
. Please try updating to latest ALE and try again.
At least on my side I found it. In the past i contributed the mono csc linter and from that time i had still a symlink inside .vimpkg/bundle
called ale.bk
hangin, which pointed to my, meanwhile way outdated, local ale git working directory. Until updating lately, this was still somehow sufficiently in sync with upstream ale package. And afterwards it broke. Removing (deleting) the symlink resolved the issue for me, no more unkown function error message.
I can not tell whether your issue @tsoernes could be similar or related i have not idea. I guess it is worth checking anyway as you like me have contributed to ale in the past or are still.
@hsanson thanks for checking.
