Bad access file created for PDF #323

Micah reports:

Working in editor (v 5.6.1) on Fernow. Adding object and files to ddr-densho-481. Had successfully added all files for objects 1-4. on object 5, the mezz and master files were sucessfully added (according to the log thingie) however, the pdf thumbnail is all black and when viewing "raw" has the following error: "This page contains the following errors: error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty Should point out, the mezz file in object 1 is also a pdf, and saved just fine, and has a normal thumbnail. They are also PDFs that came to us from a donor, not a pdf we created.

gjost - does the PDF look okay? pkikawa - not historically, but it has happened a couple of times within the last couple of months now - before i manually deleted everything related to the file before adding the image again gjost - is there anything special about that PDF? pkikawa - error seems to be when the access file is generated - idk if it's pdf file-type specific

Downloaded a copy of the PDF and duplicated the issue locally. Here's the result: ddr-testing-40413-1-mezzanine-5b4d195ba3-a

I see header graphics from the original but the page is all black. Looks like imagemagick is just unable to parse this PDF. I didn't program imagemagick so this is not something I can fix.

Let me try exporting the pdf as a jpg and then remaking it as a pdf and see if we still have this problem. well, that worked.
