Hey Petty, a few years ago we used to append links to reporters' twitter profiles to the end of articles they wrote. Remember that?
We definitely still do -- with the links in Methode. We used to do it with JS (remember that), but we didn't have the specific follow buttons (like the Twitter kind). And there's now a database associated somewhere within NGPS to the follow button for the reporter (which is what powers the dpo.st stuff). I figure we can repurpose some to propel that forward.
Thanks Petty. This is done, and you can see it in action here: http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_27210849/broncos-t-j-ward-listed-questionable-raiders-marshall#follow_twitter
Thanks, Joe. Can we reposition the button so that it's right below the byline, to the left of the Posted Date? And we can probably make it thinner by taking out the follower count.
As a user, I want to be able to directly follow a Twitter user from an article page/blog post. See: http://wapo.st/1p8ZLgs
This would ideally somehow replace the kicker we put at the end of stories.
